How to choose a wedding photographer — part 2

A short guide to choosing your photographer: Your family belongs in the conversation.

Your family belongs in the conversation.

Before discussing a shot list, talk about the people. Who matters especially to you? Which family groupings would you like to keep? Are there requests that should be handled sensitively in advance? A short, clear list can help make room for the people themselves.

For religious Jewish weddings, family customs and the structure of the celebration also matter. There is no single order that suits everyone. Discussing portrait timing, separate parts of the celebration and your boundaries helps photography fit the day. I bring an understanding of this community while listening to the particulars of each family.
