Jewish Wedding
Photography in Antwerp
Choosing a photographer from another country begins with the work, and with a conversation about your wedding. I am Moshe Chaim Katz, based in Israel and specialising in religious Jewish weddings. You can enquire about inviting me to Antwerp; the date, coverage and travel arrangements are considered individually.

Selected religious Jewish weddings photographed in Israel. These photographs show my current approach and are not presented as weddings photographed in Antwerp.

THE APPROACH
Look beyond
a single portrait.
A photograph can be carefully composed and still feel like the person in it. During portraits I give clear direction through a simple action, then photograph the movement and response while watching the light.
Alongside those portraits, look at how a sequence moves from a wider scene to a close expression: the family watching, the chuppah and the changes in the celebration. Those relationships matter as much as one striking image.
Portrait direction and documentary observation serve different purposes. I bring both to the wedding, adapting the portrait session to your practice and the people involved.

YOUR CUSTOMS, DISCUSSED
Familiar with the setting.
Attentive to your family.
I am a Haredi photographer, and religious Jewish weddings are part of my life and work. That understanding helps me pay attention; it does not mean I assume that every family in Antwerp follows the same customs.
Tell me about the sequence you are planning, the people who have a particular role and any boundaries that affect the photographs. Separate celebrations and the timing of couple portraits are discussed explicitly.
If relatives have different expectations of the photography, it is useful to explain those before the day. We can talk through priorities without asking your family to fit a generic wedding plan.
Before arranging
photography in Antwerp
Start with the date, the Antwerp venue or area, and the places where the main events will happen. Include the outline you have, even if some details are undecided.
We discuss the coverage and the sequence you want recorded, then the people involved in photographing it and the travel conditions. These arrangements need to be clear for your particular wedding before a booking is agreed.
This page provides information in English. If another language will be important in conversations with relatives or suppliers, mention that at the beginning so we can establish what communication is possible. I do not promise Dutch-language coverage or a local Belgian team.

An international enquiry is an opportunity to establish whether the photographic approach and the practical arrangements suit the wedding you are planning.
BEFORE YOU ENQUIRE
Questions before booking
Are you based in Antwerp?
No. I am based in Israel. An Antwerp wedding is considered as an international booking; I do not have a Belgian office.
Can we invite you for our wedding date?
Send the date and location so we can discuss availability, coverage and travel. International availability is agreed individually rather than promised for every journey.
How can we assess the photographic approach?
Explore the Portfolio and consider the portraits alongside the ceremony and family photographs. The selection on this page was photographed in Israel.
Will you follow our family's particular customs?
Tell me the order of events and the requirements that affect photography. My religious background informs the work, while your own family details still need to be discussed.
What needs to be agreed about the trip?
The location, scope, team arrangements and travel conditions for your wedding. No fixed travel or accommodation package is implied by this page.

Tell me about
your Antwerp wedding.
Share your date, venue or area, the outline of the celebration and what you would like to see in the photographs. We can discuss whether the approach and the international arrangements fit your plans.
If you live in Antwerp but will marry in Israel, let me know the Israeli location and date. That enquiry begins with the wedding taking place there.
