THE APPROACH

A Family Story in Motion.

A wedding film holds people in a way that still photographs cannot: a familiar voice, a changing expression, the way relatives move together in celebration. Those details can become more valuable as the years pass.

For Orthodox Jewish families planning a wedding in Basel, MCK Films offers a personal cinematic approach. I am based in Israel and available internationally. We begin with your family and plans, rather than a fixed formula. The portfolio films here are examples of the work, without claiming a Basel filming location.

Meyrav & Yonatan

A wedding highlight from the MCK Films collection, bringing the couple’s portraits and celebration into one visual story.

THOUGHTFUL PREPARATION

Who Needs to Be Seen and Heard?

Before the wedding, tell me about the people whose presence is particularly important to you. A short conversation can help us recognise relationships that would otherwise be invisible to someone arriving with a camera.

That understanding informs coverage without scripting the family’s interactions. A grandparent watching, relatives greeting one another or a moment away from the centre of the celebration may all contribute to the film. Formal arrangements matter, but so does leaving space for things that no schedule could predict.

Aharon & Tobi

An Orthodox Jewish wedding highlight, presented with the original cover from Aharon and Tobi’s film.

ORTHODOX JEWISH WEDDING FILMS

Prepared for the Ceremony.

The chuppah demands concentration and familiarity with the ceremony. We discuss the family’s customs, the sequence of events, access and sound requirements before the day.

Where suitable arrangements are agreed, multiple cameras can provide complementary views without interrupting the ceremony. Professional recording of important voices is considered alongside the images. The film should preserve the dignity and atmosphere of the occasion, not suggest that the ceremony happened for the benefit of the camera.

Naama & Baruch

Naama and Baruch’s wedding highlight, a further perspective on the movement and character of a real celebration.

FILMING & POST-PRODUCTION

More Than a Montage.

An edit gives meaning to the relationship between shots. Portraits, family interactions and celebration need selection and rhythm, rather than a continuous sequence of impressive images.

I look for natural connections, then work with sound, music and colour grading to bring the material together. Different kinds of energy can belong in the same film without losing the character of each moment. For Basel enquiries, we can discuss your venue, date, schedule and international arrangements, with photography considered alongside filming if useful.
