THE APPROACH

Understanding Comes Before Filming.

Every Orthodox Jewish family has its own priorities. Shared traditions do not make two weddings identical, and a film should preserve those differences rather than smooth them away.

For a wedding planned in Antwerp, I want to understand the customs, important participants and structure of the day before discussing the filming. MCK Films is based in Israel and available internationally. Our portfolio films illustrate the approach; they are not presented as weddings filmed in Antwerp.

Meyrav & Yonatan

A wedding highlight from the MCK Films collection, bringing the couple’s portraits and celebration into one visual story.

THOUGHTFUL PREPARATION

A Clear Plan for Communication.

Tell me which ceremony moments matter most to your family, who is coordinating the day and how you would like to communicate before the wedding. If several relatives are involved in the arrangements, one clear point of contact can help bring the plan together.

We can also discuss any spoken material you hope to preserve and the practical requirements of recording it. Language and family customs deserve specific attention; neither should be guessed from the destination. The aim is a filming plan that respects the people involved and remains understandable to everyone responsible for the day.

Aharon & Tobi

An Orthodox Jewish wedding highlight, presented with the original cover from Aharon and Tobi’s film.

ORTHODOX JEWISH WEDDING FILMS

The Chuppah, from Complementary Perspectives.

The ceremony has its own sequence and cannot be repeated for the camera. Familiarity with Orthodox weddings helps a filmmaker anticipate when to move and when to remain still.

When agreed coverage and access allow, multiple cameras can hold different perspectives: the central action, the couple’s expressions and the family watching. Professional sound recording is considered alongside those images. The equipment and positions should support the ceremony, without making the cameras the centre of attention.

Naama & Baruch

Naama and Baruch’s wedding highlight, a further perspective on the movement and character of a real celebration.

FILMING & POST-PRODUCTION

A Personal Story in Image and Sound.

Editing is where the filmed material becomes a story. I select expressions, movement and interactions for what they contribute, rather than keeping repeated images simply because they are technically polished.

Rhythm and music connect the sequences; colour grading brings consistency to changing light. Family voices and the atmosphere of the wedding give the result its own character. Before an international commission, we can discuss the venue, date, schedule and practical travel arrangements, as well as photography if you would like both services.
